Integrated Lesson 1:

This unit takes what we're currently learning in my Music Theory class and integrates technology into the lesson. While reading from the book and doing the examples located in the workbook, students are barely able to grasp the concepts. However, by adding interactive lessons and technology, students are able to better understand these concepts. With the Blendspace lesson, they are given the information in multiple different ways (interactive lesson, slideshows, and a YouTube video). Students are then able to apply that knowledge in multiple worksheets and then a quiz. After completing all of that, students will then complete a Padlet wall together, as a class. (There are only 4 students in the class so I had a relatively simple set up.) This activity includes the Augmentation and Modification steps of the SAMR Model. The activity has functional improvement with the interactive lesson and Modification with the Padlet assignment where students are working in a group to finish the activity. This also involves the Remembering, Understanding, and Applying levels of Bloom's Digital Taxonomy. There is harmonic analysis happening to determine which cadences are in the music and finding examples of cadences at the end.
